Commissioning Engineer – Huddersfield – Salary £38-42k + overtime

Our client has a long-established reputation for designing, building, and commissioning process manufacturing machinery in the Huddersfield area. Due to continue growth within the key market sector they are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join their team.

Commissioning Engineer Purpose

The Commissioning Engineer will be required to carry out on site commissioning activities of equipment and when required associated installation activities. The successful individual will also be responsible for in house Factory Acceptance Testing of equipment.

Commissioning Engineer duties and responsibilities:

  • Be primarily responsible for the Commissioning of the companies range of equipment. Ensuring all equipment is fully tested in line with the appropriate documentation and standards and delivered within the agreed timescale.
  • Be responsible for the installation activities when required to complete all necessary IQ documentation.
  • In line with the FAT supervisor, be responsible for the Factory Acceptance Testing of the company products ensuring equipment has been fully tested and is fit to be delivered to site.
  • Carry out the electrical and mechanical, inspection, drawing checks, and quality checks.
  • Take ownership of pre delivery documentation packs whilst equipment is within the department’s ownership
  • Take ownership of site documentation and ensure all documentation is fully completed and handed back to Project Manager.
  • Carry out service work as and when required.
  • Commissioning Engineer Requirements:

  • Proven track record of working as part of a team on site commissioning pharmaceutical equipment
  • HVAC Testing, Containment Testing, Filter Integrity Testing and mechanical fitting experience
  • Knowledge of the applicable standards associated with commissioning equipment i.e ISO. GAMP, cGMP.
  • PLC Programming is desirable
  • Knowledge of ATEX Regulations would be advantageous
  • City & Guilds 17th Edition
  • The successful Commissioning Engineer will receive:

  • A salary between £38, – £42,.
  • Holidays – 23 days + 8 statutory bank holidays (pro-rata for part way through year)
  • Overtime available
  • Full on the job product training and support provided
  • Death in Service
