Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 – Negotiable depending on experience
Our client is a leading manufacturing company that are recruiting for a highly experienced Quality & Compliance Manager, based in Huddersfield. The main purpose for the successful candidate, is to improve the standards of Quality and Compliance throughout the business. Initially the defining the business ISO strategy and creation of the implementation roadmap being the focus, together with H&S management; there is an exciting roadmap ahead.
Development, control, and maintenance of Quality Management System, with a plan to introduce ISO 9001.
Ensures legislative requirements are understood at all levels of the business and encourages personal ownership.
Develops, maintains, and delivers plans to ensure compliance.
Ownership of Product compliance working closely with the R&D Director.
Ownership of Product technical files, installation instructions, user manuals, spare parts lists.
Control of policies and procedures are reviewed on an annual basis.
Ownership of quality systems, driving compliance and continuous improvement.
Maintaining the internal audit schedule.
Undertake audits, follow up actions and root cause analysis.
Communicate identified or reported Quality or HS issues to the Production Manager to assist in resolutions.
To provide advice and guidance to Managers, Supervisors, team leaders and employees.
Encourage and facilitate all employee empowerment to identify and address Quality and EHS issues and encourage new ideas to improve current standards and conditions.
Monthly management reporting on project progress for the Board.
The ideal candidate:
Have a strong knowledge and experience of implementing, managing and maintaining Quality Management systems to ISO 9001 standards.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with others.
Will be self-motivated and have a positive attitude.
Good problem-solving skills.
Experience in a similar role in a production/manufacturing environment.
Experience with method statements, risk assessments and standard operating procedures and a health & Safety qualification
