Weare looking for a Management Accountant to join a high-profile Realestate and Property Services firm as a Finance Lead (ManagementAccountant). This position is paying £55k and is based inHuddersfield but will only be office based twice a week. This rolewill be working with two of the company’s largest clients, you willtherefore gain client exposure, work on ad hoc projects as well asprepare the monthly management accounts. This is very much acommercial management accounting position.
Prepare accurate reports for the Portfoliowhich feed into Business Unit reports in line with strict monthlycompany timetable including full Profit & Loss account withanalysis and commentary, Balance Sheet extracts andreconciliations, and detailed Project Profitabilityreporting.
Continually review, maintain, andimprove billing, debt, work in progress, purchase orders and ledgerpostings against Plan, forecast, prior year, Divisional and Companyresults and trends.
Identify and resolve anyareas of financial weakness within the Portfolio in a timelymanner.
Collate challenging, realistic,rolling, three-monthly Profit & Loss forecasts togetherwith annual expectations based on the latest available managementinformation
Support the Finance Manager withthe preparation of the annual Business Unit plan in conjunctionwith the Operational Account director and contract managementteam.
Prepare cost-benefit reports andpro-active analytical works to facilitate continuous improvement ofthe Portfolio’s performance.
Fully comprehendthe financial and commercial detail of contracts within thePortfolio to ensure optimal performance and riskmanagement.
You will need to be a newly qualifiedaccountant with a management accounting background (CIMA or ACCAQualified).
The ability to business partner isessential, prior business partnering experience is highlydesired.
