The role

We are currently recruiting for Functional Skills English to provide full and part-time, short and long-term cover, in further education establishments across the Kirklees and Calderdale area.

This would be an ideal opportunity for a tutor who is looking for a flexible work schedule or who would like a return to the classroom.

The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of the curriculum and will be able to plan innovative and engaging lessons that will meet the needs of children with a variety of abilities.  You must also be approachable, inspiring, enthusiastic and be able to quickly build relationships.  This is a great time to join us and become part of our committed teaching team.

Requirements

To be considered for the Functional Skills English Tutor you must:

Hold a recognised teaching qualification
Have some knowledge or previous experience teaching the functional skills curriculum
Be adaptable and flexible
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff
