Humanities Teacher – SEN
Engage Education are currently working in partnership with a special educational needs school on an exciting new Humanities Teaching vacancy in Huddersfield.
Starting after Easter, the school is looking for an outstanding Humanities Teacher to join them on a long term temporary basis. This is to cover a permanent absence so it will be long term with the view to turn into a permanent assignment.
The school is looking for a teacher to deliver Humanities to students with social, emotional and mental health issues.
Your Role:
Delivering Humanities up to GCSE
Working with other support staff to engage pupils in class
Providing feedback to teachers and parents
You will be assisting pupils with Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Severe Learning Difficulties and other Learning Disabilities
What you will need:
A range of behaviour management techniques
To have worked with learners with a range of needs
The ability to re-engage a young person in learning through a range of methods
To be able to commit to working at the school for long period of time
A resilient attitude
