IT Purchasing/Procurement Specialist – Hybrid Working Due to large scale growth my clioent a leading name within the higher educaton sector are currentley a recuritng a IT Purchasing/Procurement Specialist. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Work closely with the Desktop Support & IT Purchasing Manager and IT Purchasing Team Leader in providing an effective IT Purchasing service to the including providing appropriate advice on procurement and purchasing of new IT systems and services including hardware, software, mobile related technologies and professional services. Contract management of all IT suppliers. Organise regular review meetings with suppliers and review business and trends associated with the contract and ensure the University is receiving customer satisfaction and value for money. Reviewing the performance of suppliers against existing contracts. Leading negotiation with vendors ensuring best value to required service levels. Maintain an extensive knowledge of hardware, software, licensing and mobile technologies within the sector and how these may affect future procurement, renewals, and strategy.Essential Experience of working in a busy PurchasingProcurement department Experience of working in a customer focused environment Experience of engaging and working with internal stakeholders in a large organisation Experience of dealing with and negotiating with an organisation’s suppliers Experience of running a full tender process from conception to completion Experience of working with electronic tender systems Experience of contractvendorsupplier management Experience of production of a range of management information Experience of analysing data and making procurement decisions based on this analysis
