More about your role

Places for People Group use the ERP system Unit4 Business World and we are looking for 3 Senior ERP Engineers lead on the development of technology changes and solutions that will meet the specialist needs of our Finance and People Services teams, allowing an effortless service for all our colleagues.

You will work with as part of a team of engineers, designers, and architects, delivering a defined product roadmap, providing technology solutions that meet our success criteria and outcomes.

You will work with key users within business areas to understand their requirements for application functionality. You will be a key member of the team and help to design, test and implement system solutions / improvements.

This role can be carried from home. Our IT department is based in Preston, Lancashire so you may on occasion be required to attend training/meetings in Preston which will be expensed and is unlikely to be more than a couple of days per quarter.

More about you

This role demands a high degree of competence and experience of working with the Unit 4 Business World platform. As a Senior Engineer, you will possess a deep understanding of the technical capabilities of Unit 4 Business World and will be able to engineer technical solutions aligned to best practice and DevOps.

You will possess experience not only with the configuration platform, but also in understanding how to develop and debug supported customisations (e.g. AG16 EREX)

In addition, you will need good project management experience and have been a member of a project team that has delivered successful software improvements to an existing system.

you should possess good stakeholder management skills and be adept and understand user and business requirement, knowing how to ask the right questions to fully understand and scope solutions.
