Special Educational Needs Support Worker – Huddersfield
Veritas Education Agency are searching for experienced and skilled support workers. We are currently working with a school based in Huddersfield who are looking to recruit SEN support workers with previous experience working with children and young people with autism. The school are requiring SEN support workers to support students with special additional needs with their learning and development.
Role:
– Throughout this role as a SEN support worker, you will be required to support children in a group setting and on a 1-1 basis, with special additional needs.
-You will also support and assist their social and emotional and behavioural needs throughout the school day.
-You will be required to support and manage their behaviour and be familiar with behaviour management
Requirements:
-Previous support worker or care worker experience in an educational or care setting is essential but not desirable
-Relevant training and certificates such as Team Teach and intimate care is desirable, although training can be offered
-The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, hard-working, energetic and patient
-Candidates must hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS upon registration
-Have proof of eligibility to work in the UK
