Graduate Special Needs 1-1 Teaching Assistant

Veritas Education Agency are searching for skilled and experienced graduate SEN 1-1 teaching assistants to work in a school in Huddersfield. You will be supporting a young child with autism with his learning and activities throughout the school day. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEN children and be familiar with behaviour de-escalation strategies.

Role:

Throughout this role as a graduate SEN teaching assistant, you will be required to support a child with autism on a 1-1 basis
You will also support and assist the child with their social emotional and mental health
You will be required to support and manage their behaviour and be familiar and confident with behaviour management
Be a positive role model to the child and assist them with their learning and work activitiesRequirements:

GCSE Maths and English
2.2 and above in a university degree in any subject
Previous experience working with children with autism is desirable
The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, hard-working, energetic and patient
Candidates must hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS upon registration
Have proof of eligibility to work in the UKWhat we offer:
