Trade and Sales Assistant
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 DOE + Benefits
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
Saturday (two in a month) 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
Type of the role: Full-time, Permanent
Responsible to: Area Sales Manager
We are working on behalf of one of the well-established merchants who is now looking for a permanent Trade and Sales Assistant to join their team.
This role will include working in a showroom, selling doors, flooring stair parts, and dealing with trade and retail customers.
The role is mainly desk-based but requires moving around the showroom from time to time so people skills and work-to-sales targets experience will be essential.
Duties:
- Daily assistance and dealing with customers.
- Liaising and ongoing support to suppliers.
- Checking and ordering stock ensuring accurate availability.
- Professional upselling and handling internal and external queries.
- Work to set KPIs and targets.
- Managing a high volume of sales.
Skills Required:
- Proven experience within a similar role.
- Ability to multitask and strong time management skills.
- Prioritising and attention to detail.
- Experience working with KPIs.
- CRM management experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
