Trust Accountant | Permanent | Hybrid Working Your new company A well established school within the Multi-Trust Academy are looking to appoint a Trust Accountant on a permanent basis. Working within the education sector can be a truly rewarding career and this role is an opportunity you wouldn’t want to miss Your new role As a Trust accountant you will be responsibility for a number of areas including: Perform full month-end reconciliations and period closures, identifying any errors, and taking corrective action to ensure the Trial Balance and Balance Sheet are correct Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and other financial information and reports as required, in a timely manner, and in a format understandable and suited to the audience Assist in the preparation of the year-end financial statements and other periodic and statutory submissions e. Annual Accounts Return, VAT claims Prepare financial reports for the Headteacher/Local Governing Bodies and attend meetings to review those reports when required to do so Oversee all day-to-day transactions in the Trust and academies’ ledgers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and conformity to Trust procedures and audit standard, reporting any issues to the Chief Finance Officer Collect the trust’s monthly VAT returns and perform an exceptions report of monthly payroll and resolve all anomalies at each academy When required, undertake routine transactions in Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Cash Book, and Nominal Ledger What you’ll need to succeed Qualified or Part-Qualified accountant Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and lead an effective team Experience of financial management and budget monitoring Ability to prioritise work and plan to meet financial deadlines What you’ll get in return Flexible and hybrid working Central location Salary up to £38,909 Free onsite parking What you need to do now If you’re interested in this role, click ‘apply now’ to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
